REGISTRY HELP

Ok Mommas, it's your turn to chime in. Let me know about products that you loved, hated, never used, or even wished you had invested in with your little one.(who may or may not be so little anymore) Any and all advice is welcomed. Just don't be offended if it doesn't get used. :-) Good advice I've heard recently is getting cloth diapers to use as burp rags; putting down an absorbing pad under the baby when she's in the crib- that way if she leaks, so that I don't have to change the sheets every time; and you can never have too many blankets. Let me know if you think of anything. Please share your stories, I love to hear them!

  1. 1. the shopping cart cover - LOVED IT!
    2. extra large changing pad can be used when you travel, you can always throw it on the ground, back seat, trunk, wherever there's a flat surface
    3. wear dangly earrings now
    4. onesies under an outfit make the baby less slippery
    5. always have extra clothing in the diaper bag, even if you haven't needed them in a long time
    6. have Brady take a bath with her when she's little. it's much easier to get a slippery baby clean that way
    7. you can nurse a baby anywhere, even sitting in the backseat with a crying baby facing backwards (in a carseat) and you in your seatbelt.
    8. when traveling, an empty suitcase or dresser drawer makes a good baby bed
    9. baby + high chair + frozen peas...adds up to freedom to cook dinner with both hands
    10. Loved the baby sling and front pack

so, those are my top 10 (that I can remember) :)

  2. Hey I don't have any kiddos yet, but I have been working in a daycare with little ones a lot and I have noticed some really great things I know I might want one day.
    - a pacifier holder that you can insert scented sticks into , if your baby is congested there is a menthol one, a lavender scent for night time, and I think a few others.
    - a bouncing baby seat for when she's a little older, they have the ones you can put in the doorway, or they also sell stationary ones that are adjustable so as she gets longer she can still jump
    - There is a thing I believe at target that you stick in your baby's nose and you suck on the other end to get rid of boogers, but it doesn't go in your mouth it gets caught in another portion of it. I have heard a lot of moms say they like that better than the little blue nose sucker that you squeeze.
    - If she is ever going to be in a church nursery or somewhere with other children there are some websites where you can order personalized stickers with her name on it so her bottles or sippy cups don't get mixed up with someone else.

    - The little mittens to put on their hands so they don't scratch themselves can really help.
